2017-08-31 WLTP kommer gälla för alla nyregistrerade bilar från 1 januari 2020. Så om du går i tankarna på en ny bil oavsett om den är till företaget, familjen eller om du behöver leasa en ny bil så kommer WLTP påverka fordonsskatten. Inräknat med de tidigare bonus-malus-reglerna är det dieselbilen som pekas ut som den största förloraren. WLTP is intended to allow different regions across the world to compare pollutant and CO2 emissions as well as fuel consumption values. But while it has a common global ‘core’, the EU and other regions will use the test in different ways depending on their road traffic laws and needs.

WLTP typgodkännande kommer att introduceras för nya biltyper. Vissa bilar kommer att ha ”gamla” NEDC-värden, medan andra redan är certifierade enligt de nya WLTP-villkoren. Branschen vill börja använda WLTP-baserade resultat för allmän konsumentinformation (t.ex. försäljnings-broschyrer och webbplatser).

WLTP, NEDC, Euro 6.1, Euro 6.2 & RDE. The old NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) is being replaced by the new WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedures) which is a longer cycle more representative of real world driving. With the highest power-to-mass ratio, Class 3 is representative of vehicles driven in Europe and Japan. Class 3 vehicles are divided into 2 subclasses according to their maximum speed: Class 3a with v_max < 120 km/h and Class 3b with v_max ≥ 120 km/h.
